This Disclaimer applies to the Meowsiam website, iOS app, and Android app (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you acknowledge and agree to the following.
1. Not veterinary, medical, or behavioral-health advice
Meowsiam provides general educational content about cat training and cat body language for informational and entertainment purposes only. Nothing in the Service is veterinary advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation. Always consult a licensed veterinarian or a certified animal behaviorist about your cat's health, nutrition, behavior problems, aggression, or any sudden change in behavior. Never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you read in Meowsiam.
2. AI-generated content
- Breed identification is an estimate. The CatDex uses AI vision to guess the most likely breed from a photo, with a confidence score. It is a fun estimate — not a genetic, veterinary, or pedigree determination, and it can be wrong. Do not rely on it for breeding, purchase, adoption, or medical decisions.
- The AI Cat Companion is entertainment. The Companion chats about your cats for fun. It is designed to decline requests for medical, veterinary, legal, financial, or other professional advice and to refer you to licensed professionals. Despite these safeguards, AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. Treat everything it says as entertainment, not advice.
- 3D renders are stylized artwork generated from your photo. They are creative interpretations, not accurate anatomical representations.
3. Training results vary
Training outcomes depend on your cat's age, temperament, health, history, and your consistency. Statements like "most cats learn a behavior within a number of sessions" describe typical experiences with short-session marker training, not a promise for your cat. Any figures on our sales pages are illustrative. Our money-back guarantee (see the Refund Policy) exists precisely because no outcome can be guaranteed.
4. Safety first
Only train your own cat or a cat you have permission to handle. Approach unfamiliar or stray cats at your own risk — from a respectful distance — and never corner, chase, or touch a cat that shows warning signals. Meowsiam is not responsible for injuries, bites, scratches, or property damage arising from interactions with any animal.
5. No professional relationship
Use of the Service does not create a veterinarian–client–patient relationship or any other professional relationship between you and Meowsiam.
6. External links and third-party services
The Service may link to third-party sites (for example, our print-on-demand merchandise shop). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties.
7. Limitation
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. See our Terms of Service for the full limitation of liability.
